cosmofunding – Vontobel's financing platform on path to growth

Since cosmofunding was founded in October 2018, the financing ecosystem has grown strongly with an issued volume of over CHF 34 billion (end of 2023).cosmofunding has experienced strong growth.

The financing platform, on which private placements and public bonds can be securitized in an intuitive and user-friendly way, is aimed at public corporations, companies and institutional investors. Since 2023, cosmofunding has also been accessible to professional private clients via Vontobel relationship managers.More than CHF 34 billion has been issued via cosmofunding since 2018 till end of 2023 - CHF 10.9 billion of which was in 2023 alone. The trend is set to continue: the traded transaction volume is currently around CHF 1.5 billion per month.

To further drive growth, cosmofunding has strengthened its team in various areas, including investor and issuer support and product development. In December 2023, the company also welcomed two experienced new members with decades of expertise in the field of public bonds. Furthermore, Vontobel just recently joined forces with Raiffeisen, UBS and ZKB in the joint lead for the City of Zurich, which raised CHF 200 million twice.The next step is to enter the UK and EEA markets, where investors will have access to the platform.
