  • What is cosmofunding?

    cosmofunding is a digital platform for professional clients and eligible counterparties that makes the money and capital market accessible to new investors and capital seekers.

  • Who is behind cosmofunding?

    cosmofunding is an offering from Bank Vontobel Europe AG, based in Munich. Bank Vontobel Europe AG is part of the Swiss Vontobel Group, which has been established since 1924.

  • What advantages does cosmofunding offer me?

    Through cosmofunding, investors receive access to the Swiss private financing market and to Vontobel's platform expertise. Upon request, you will receive daily notifications regarding current investment opportunities.

  • How can I invest? Do I need an account at Vontobel?

    To become a cosmofunding user, you have to go through Vontobel's client onboarding process. However, you do not need an account with Vontobel.

  • Who bears the credit risk associated with the financing?

    The credit risk or default risk of the issuer is borne exclusively by the lender (i.e. the investor). This risk is generally taken into account at the level of the security via the credit spread, which is a premium over the risk-free interest rate.

  • Are cosmofunding users subject to a transaction obligation?

    Issuers are not obliged to carry out transactions that are advertised via the platform. Investors submit a binding offer to the issuer. The issuer can decide to accept or reject the offer in whole or in part until the end of the procedure chosen by the issuer.

  • How can I register, and what is the cost?

    The platform itself can be used free of charge. Make an appointment for a demo using the contact form, or by phone. We would be glad to tell you more about our services and the fee model, show you the platform, and start the onboarding process if you are interested.

  • Who can register as an investor

    As a financial intermediary (bank, securities dealer, pension fund, fund management company or SICAF/SICAV, life insurance company, CISA investment company, CISA asset manager), municipal company or large company, your company usually qualifies as an investor for cosmofunding. We would be happy to clarify the details and the next steps with you in a personal meeting.

  • Can other users view my offers and transactions?

    No, in principle investors are anonymous on cosmofunding. They only see the issuers' financing requests. Issuers only see the quote parameters, but not the names of the investors.

  • Is there a specified minimum investment amount?

    For private placements of bonds, the minimum investment is EUR 100,000.00, in most cases the denomination is higher and is in the 1-2-digit million range. For listed bonds, the denomination is usually EUR 5,000.00.
